Isuzu has revealed the electric D-Max at the 2025 CV Show in Birmingham. The left-hand drive model is now in production for European markets, with deliveries expected by Q3 2025. Meanwhile, the right-hand drive version is set to enter production by the end of the year, with a UK launch slated for 2026. Following its UK debut, Isuzu aims to expand availability to other regions based on market demand. Notably, the EV was first shown in concept form at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in New Delhi. Currently, there’s still no timeline for the launch of the e-pickup in our market.
The D-Max EV showcased at the 2025 CV Show boasts a striking Norwegian Blue finish with contrasting black accents and the familiar design language of its ICE counterparts, with a few subtle, EV-specific updates like the absence of tailpipes and EV branding. The closed-off grille from the concept is also missing.

The D-Max EV caters to a range of work and lifestyle demands with two feature-rich variants and the option between Extended Cab and Double Cab configurations. Other capabilities include 600mm of water wading, 210mm of ground clearance, and impressive approach and departure angles of 30.5° and 24.2°, respectively. The D-Max EV boasts a reinforced ladder chassis for robust payload capacity, complemented by a Rough Terrain Mode for enhanced off-road confidence. The D-Max EV enhances safety with the latest ADAS features, offering intelligent support for every drive. The new De-Dion rear suspension improves comfort, reducing cabin noise and vibration by up to 10%, even during full acceleration. The EV also packs Isuzu’s newest infotainment system, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The D-Max EV is powered by a 66.9kWh lithium-ion battery, driving dual motors that produce a combined 187bhp (57 front/130 rear) and 325Nm of torque (108 front/217 rear). This output is comparable to the existing 1.9L diesel's 162bhp/360Nm (ICE options vary by market).
