Jaguar Land Rover provides GST benefits of up to Rs. 10.9 lakh

JLR India is offering GST related benefits of up to 12% to customers by slashing prices.

Jaguar Land Rover has slashed prices across its range of cars which are assembled in India. JLR is now offering discounts of up to Rs. 10.9 lakh on their vehicles in India prior to the roll out of Goods and Service Tax. However, it is worth nothing that the pre-GST benefits of up to 12% with immediate effect which is applicable on selected stock only.

In India, JLR manufactures the XE, XF, XJ from Jaguar’s line up. Additionally, Land Rover also assembles the Discover sport and the Range Rover Evoque at the same factory near Pune, Maharashtra.

Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India, said, “Implementation of GST is a historical moment for India which will not only benefit consumers but is also expected to make the whole tax regime simpler and more transparent. In support of this initiative from the Government of India and in line with Jaguar Land Rover’s Customer First philosophy of also being transparent and dependable, we are pleased to proactively pass on benefits linked to the expected price reduction to our customers with immediate effect.”

GST is scheduled to take effect from July 1, 2017. However, prior to its implementation, Jaguar is offering benefits between Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 5.7 lakh on the , XE all the way up to Rs. 4 lakh - Rs. 10.9 Lakh on its XJ flagship saloon. As for the Land Rovers, the Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque is available with discounts ranging from Rs. 3.3 lakh to Rs. 7.5 lakh. These discount rates will vary from state to state.
