Kia has commenced bookings for the Carens Clavis EV with a token amount of Rs 25,000. The electric MPV is priced between Rs 17.99 lakh and Rs 24.49 lakh, and is offered in four core variants. It competes directly with the BYD eMax 7, and also serves as an alternative to electric crossovers and SUVs like the Tata Curvv, the Mahindra BE 6, and the Hyundai Creta. The Carens Clavis EV is available in a palette of six shades, ranging from classic Glacier White Pearl to the Ivory Silver Matte.
Commenting on the announcement, Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, said, 'The Carens Clavis EV marks a pivotal moment in Kia India’s journey towards making electric mobility truly inclusive and accessible. Being our first electric vehicle inspired by India, it is a 7-seater EV that reflects our vision to offer smart, sustainable, and accessible EV solutions with a true value for money proposition. It will ensure complete peace of mind with our capable EV ecosystem — including the K-Charge feature on the MyKia app and a robust network of 250+ EV-ready workshops, including 100+ dealerships equipped with DC fast chargers. We’re excited to open bookings and invite customers to bring home their Carens Clavis EV.'

The Clavis EV features a full-width LED light bar that sits above a neatly integrated charging port and active air flaps, giving the MPV a clean yet striking face.
