Kia Carens Luxury (O) Launched in India at Rs 17 lakh; Check Features Here

Kia India has launched a new variant of the Carens dubbed Luxury (O) with prices starting at Rs 17 lakh and reaching up to 17.70 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. In the model's lineup, the recently launched model will sit between the Luxury and Luxury Plus trims. Recently, Kia released its sales figures for March 2023. It reported that the sales of the Carens decreased by 12.93% YoY in the previous month, from 7,008 units sold in March 2022 to 6,102 units delivered in March 2023. From 6,248 units sold in February 2023, MoM sales were also down to 2.34%. Yet, the model witnessed a boost in its share percentage over the last month, going from 25.40% held in February 2023 to 28.38%.

Kia Carens Luxury (O) Model: Engine & Features

Both a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine are available for the new variant. The 1.5-litre, turbo-petrol unit is capable of producing 158bhp, paired with a 7-speed DCT, whereas the 1.5-litre diesel engine is good enough to put out 114bhp, coupled with a 6-speed AT.  Feature-wise, the model comes packed with a range of features. The Kia Carens Luxury (O) version receives an electric sunroof and ambient lighting connected to the multi-drive modes in comparison to the Luxury variant above it. It will offer only a 7-seat configuration to customers. In terms of safety, the new version is equipped with driver, passenger, and curtain airbags in addition to ABS, ESC, and hill-start assist, found in other versions of the Carens as well.

Kia Carens Luxury (O) Model: Exterior & Interior 

A shark-fin antenna, LED headlights, roof rails, LED fog lights, body-coloured bumpers, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and LED tail lights are a part of the new variant's exterior. Coming to the interior, the recently launched version of the Kia Carens has a flat-bottom steering wheel, a dual-tone interior theme, a 12.5-inch fully digital instrument console, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an air purifier, cruise control ambient lighting, leatherette seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and more.

Kia Carens Luxury (O) Model: Prices

The Carens Luxury (O) version available with a 1.5 petrol DCT is priced at Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version with a 1.5 diesel AT option, on the other hand, is accessible at a price tag of Rs Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
