Kia Seltos dimensions & fuel-efficiency figures revealed
Kia Motors India (KMI) is set to launch its first product for India, the Seltos SUV, on 22nd August. However, prior to the launch, we've been able to get our hands on the car during its media drive.

Here's a look at the confirmed dimensions & fuel-efficiency figures of the India-spec Kia Seltos.
Kia Motors India (KMI) is set to launch its first product for India, the Seltos SUV, on 22nd August. However, prior to the launch, we've been able to get our hands on the car during its media drive. But, since can't offer our in-depth review of the Seltos before the evening of 9th August, we bring you some confirmed details & specs in the meantime.
Dimensions
The Kia Seltos measures 4,315mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,620mm in height, along with a 2,610mm wheelbase. To put this into perspective, a comparable compact SUV, like the Hyundai Creta, is 45mm shorter & 20mm narrower than the Seltos. However, the Seltos is 45mm lower than the Creta but has a 20mm longer wheelbase. Like the Creta, the Seltos too will be offered with an option of either 16-inch or 17-inch alloy wheels, with near-identical tyre sizes.
Fuel-efficiency
The engine & powertrain options of the Seltos were revealed earlier at the car's global unveiling event. It will be offered with a choice of two petrol engines – a 1.5-litre 113bhp/144Nm motor or a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol 138bhp/242Nm unit – and a single 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces 113bhp & 250Nm of torque. In terms of transmission options, there will be three automatics (6AT, IVT & 7DCT) to choose from and a single 6-speed manual box. While the 6MT will be available with all three engine options, the 7DCT will be exclusively paired to the 1.4-litre turbo petrol. The 6AT, on the other hand, will be available exclusively with the 1.5-litre diesel, and, similarly, the IVT has been reserved for the 1.5-litre petrol.
