Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster launched at Rs. 5.79 crore

The Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster is the only mid-rear engined V12 super sports roadster you can buy right now.

Immediately after its world debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show — the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster is now available in India at Rs. 5.79 crore, ex-showroom.

The Aventador S Roadster isn’t much different from its coupe sibling - albeit it gets a removable hard top panel - which weighs less than 6kg, due to its carbon fibre construction. The hardtop can be had in a range of different customisation options. An easy fastening system allows the roof panels to be quickly removed and stored in the front trunk.

The Aventador Roadster's 'S' suffix denotes the design and technology advancements of the new model. The Roadster adopts the four-wheel drive, new active suspension, new four-wheel steering system, and the new ‘Ego’ driving mode introduced on the Aventador S coupe. The active rear wing optimizes the car's aerodynamic balance depending on speed and the selected drive mode. The Aventador S Roadster’s enhanced overall aerodynamic design improves front downforce by more than 130 per cent over the previous Aventador.

The cockpit of the Aventador S Roadster features a new digital dashboard, that can be customised according to the driver's preferences, with different ‘kombi’ screens for various driving modes. Selected from the driving modes options on the control panel, the Ego button further reveals more options on pop-up digital screens, allowing the drivers to choose their preferred settings. Apple CarPlay comes as a standard feature, allowing the cockpit's occupants to manage voice activated communications and entertainment.

Accelerating 0-100km/h in 3 seconds flat, with a top speed equal to the Aventador S coupe of 350 km/h - the Aventador S Roadster weighs around 50kg more than the coupe. Its 6.5-litre V12 engine outputs the same 740bhp, with 690 Nm of torque. The 7-speed automatic transmission feeds power to all the four wheels and provides a company claimed gearshifts in 50 milliseconds.
