Lamborghini Huracan Performante finally unveiled

The lightweight and more powerful Lamborghini Huracan Performante has been finally revealed.

Lamborghini has revealed the final production version of the Lamborghini Huracan Performante which faster, lighter, cleverer and more agile than the regular car.

At the heart of the Perfeormate is the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine which has been tuned to deliver 631bhp – 30bhp more than standard. Aided by the 600Nm of torque, which has been increased, the Huracan Performante can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds and onto a top speed of 325km/h as more than 70% of the torque is available at just 1,000rpm. The engine is mated to Lamborghini’s seven-speed dual clutch transmission which has been tuned to match the increase in power and torque.

In addition to the added power, the performance figures that Lamborghini claims has been achieved with the help of weight reduction. The whole car is made from carbon fibre and other weight reduction measures has helped the car shed 40 kilograms. Lamborghini has also thrown in “Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva” – active aerodynamics as well. Engine fluid dynamics for both intake and exhaust have been optimized, exhaust system has been redesigned to achieve weight reduction and less back pressure, positioned at a higher and more central position, deliver a more aggressive sound in high performance use.

To set it apart from the standard Huracan, Lamborghini gas treated the Performante’s styling to look as wild as the performance figures are. The rear gets a giant wing, the exhaust tips are massive and on the sides are the Italian tri-colours along the doors. The front bumper has also been restyled to look more aggressive and have serve the purpose of form and function. While the rear bumper has been replaced with a more performance oriented diffuser.

The Huracan Performante will be on its way to extremely happy customers starting this summer.
