URUS S FEATURE

Lamborghini has extended the Urus SUV range in the country. After much anticipation, the Urus S has finally launched in India at Rs 4.18 crore (ex-showroom). Mechanically, the model mirrors the Performante version. It is driven by a similar 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of generating 657bhp and 850Nm. For transmission, the engine uses an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The performance-oriented Urus retails in our market at Rs 4.22 crore (ex-showroom). In the carmaker's SUV lineup for India, the newly released model will be positioned below the Urus Performante SUV. In terms of both exterior and interior, the Urus S boasts several improvements over the Performante model. Here's all you need to know about the recently introduced Lamborghini Urus S in terms of features, design, engine, and other specs.

Lamborghini Urus S: Powertrain

Talking about the engine, the Performante's 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 petrol engine, which produces 657bhp and 850Nm, is also available in the Urus S. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which uses its all-wheel-drive system to send power to all four wheels. On the performance front, the Urus S can sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds, compared to the Urus Performante's claimed time of 3.3 seconds.

Outside, it includes an updated matte front bumper with a painted stainless steel skid plate and air venting fins over the front wheels for better aerodynamic performance. Like the Performante, the Urus S's bonnet has matte black air vents. Moving sideways, the Urus S has 21-inch alloy wheels as standard. It has also received larger 22-inch and 23-inch alloy wheels as options. Further, the SUV gets a new rear bumper, sleeker than the previous Urus model. The newly introduced model does not have an extended rear spoiler. Additionally, Lamborghini offers its customers the option to personalise their vehicles to suit their preferences and likes. Options for the car's appearance have increased significantly in terms of colour palettes, wheels, trim, style packages, and customization.

The Urus's interior design is unchanged, but the dashboard now has a chocolate brown colour scheme to go with the leather interior. The digital driver's display and touchscreen infotainment system both have upgraded graphics, but the dashboard and console still have a recognisable screen structure. Similar to the first Urus model, the third display also has a touchscreen for the climate control features. The car also comes with 8 airbags and ADAS functionalities along with several features. Lamborghini has offered a wide range of Ad Personam options that will enable customers to personalise their vehicles.
