The made-in-India Nissan Magnite has been recalled in Saudi Arabia due to an issue with its brake system. Interestingly, the recalled Magnite is the updated version that was launched in India last year and introduced in the Middle East in March 2025, making it one of the first regions to get the left-hand drive (LHD) model. Although the core design remains the same, the Saudi model features a few notable differences, including a single powertrain option. So far, Nissan has not reported any similar issues or initiated a recall for the Indian version of the Magnite. Let’s analyse how many cars are affected and what exactly went wrong in the Saudi version.
The recall is in response to a critical safety issue involving the Nissan SUV's braking system. A faulty brake pipe could cause brake fluid to leak over time. This can severely reduce the effectiveness of the brakes, increasing the chances of an accident, particularly during sudden or emergency stops.

To address the issue, Nissan is urging affected owners to visit authorised service centers, where the necessary repairs will be carried out at no cost.
According to official information, 1,552 units of the Nissan Magnite have been affected by this recall in Saudi Arabia.
The Nissan Magnite sold in India and Saudi Arabia are mostly the same, except for their steering layout (right-hand drive (RHD) for India and left-hand drive (LHD) for Saudi Arabia). Key design elements include a large black grille, protective body cladding on the sides, LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, silver door handles, and 16-inch diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the feature set also remains the same, including amenities such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and a 7-inch digital driver display. For safety, the SUV comes equipped with six airbags as standard, a traction control system, and a 360-degree camera system.
