Mahindra Alturas BS6 gets Rs. 2.9 lakh discount

Mahindra’s Alturas G4 in BS6 specification has only just hit the market, but it’s already being offered with heavy discounts, a move being practiced by manufacturers in an attempt to drive demand as sales open up after the days of the blanket nationwide coronavirus lockdown.

Mahindra is offering a substantial discount on the recently introduced BS6 version of the Alturas G4 premium SUV. This includes a straight up cash discount of Rs. 2.4 lakh, along with an exchange bonus of Rs. 50,000 for trading in your car for a new Alturas. Prices for the Mahindra Alturas G4 BS6 are pegged at Rs. 28.69 lakh for the two-wheel drive variant while the four-wheel drive variant retails at Rs. 31.69 lakh, ex-showroom pan-India. In comparison, the BS4 versions of the car were priced at Rs. 27.70 lakh and Rs. 30.70 lakh, respectively. So the new car is dearer by exactly a lakh.

BS6 spec versions of the XUV500 and Scorpio have also been launched recently and the XUV500 is available with an exchange bonus of Rs. 40,000. The lower end S5 variant of the Scorpio is being offered with Rs. 30,000 cash discount and a Rs. 30,000 exchange bonus, while the Scorpio S7, S9 and S11 are being offered with a Rs. 30,000 exchange bonus.

The Mahindra XUV300 to has discount offers going up to a total of Rs. 75,000. The base XUV300 W4 variant has a cash discount of Rs. 20,000 while the W6 variant wears an Rs. 25,000 discount, the top-end W8 and W8 (O) variants meanwhile are eligible for a cash discount of Rs. Rs. 30,000. All variants have a flat exchange bonus of Rs. 30,000.
