The Mahindra BE 6 has undergone another exciting makeover with a new Formula E–inspired special edition. The new version is developed to honour Mahindra’s long-standing presence in the all-electric championship. It retains the core design, but adds certain theme-specific styling changes. Notably, Formula E Edition isn’t the BE 6’s first exclusive variant.
Mahindra rolled out the Batman Edition in August this year, which witnessed extraordinary demand (production was scaled up from 300 to 999 units, all of which sold out within minutes of bookings opening). While the two models originate from the same Born Electric SUV platform, they cater to a different set of buyers with unique styling cues and thematic elements. Here’s a detailed comparison of these two special editions, based on design, features, and prices.

The standard BE 6 already has an aggressive and sporty look, but the new Formula E Edition pushes this stance even further with a motorsport-inspired makeover. The familiar C-shaped LED DRLs have been replaced with slim, edge-positioned DRLs for a sharper front profile. The bumpers are now more rugged, paired with a silver-finished faux bash plate for a tougher appearance.
Other highlights include circular headlamps, contrasting grey-and-black cladding, puddle lamps on the FE3 variant, exclusive decals, a Formula E–inspired 12-stripe graphic, and wheel options ranging from 19 to 20 inches. Mahindra has also updated the rear with revised taillight detailing and a new Formula E badge. The colour palette includes Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, and Stealth Black.

In comparison, the Batman Edition gives a completely different personality to the BE 6, which is dark, bold, and dramatic. Instead of sporty motorsport styling, the BE 6's first special edition follows a Gotham-inspired theme with a full two-tone black finish. The matte black body is contrasted by glossy elements on the bumpers and wheel arches, giving it a sinister, stealth-like appearance. Unique Batman decals on the doors and a Dark Knight badge on the tailgate add to its special-edition identity.

The Batman Edition rides on 20-inch dual-tone alloys and has gold-painted brake callipers and springs that provide a striking pop of colour against the otherwise shadowy exterior.

The BE 6 Formula E Edition highlights its motorsport-inspired character with Firestorm Orange accents, Formula E badges on the seats and dashboard, and an FIA X Formula E plaque.

In contrast, the Batman Edition features a black-and-gold cabin that thoughtfully uses Bat symbols to evoke a sense of stealth and sophistication. Despite their distinct themes, both versions keep the same overall layout and offer the full equipment list of the Pack Three variant, including the dual 12.3-inch displays.
Both special editions stick to the same mechanical setup as the top-spec BE 6, drawing power from the larger 79kWh battery pack. A single motor drives the rear wheels with 282bhp and 380Nm on tap. With this configuration, the SUVs maintain the BE 6’s claimed 682-kilometre MIDC range.
The FE2 and FE3 editions of the BE 6 are more affordable options, priced at Rs 23.69 lakh and Rs 24.49 lakh, respectively. The Batman Edition, on the other hand, is priced higher at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom) because of its more detailed theme.

The Formula E-inspired BE 6 is an ideal choice for buyers who want a unique look without spending much more, while the Batman Edition is the preferred option for those who prefer added exclusivity and extra design flair.
