Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e Deliveries Cross 3,000 Units; Waiting Period Extends to 6 Months

Mahindra has delivered more than 3,000 units of its new electric SUV duo, the XEV 9e and BE 6, in less than a month since shipment began on March 20. The Mahindra BE 6 is available in five variants, with prices ranging from Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The XEV 9e, offered in four variants, is priced between Rs 21.90 lakh and Rs 30.50 lakh. Based on the current booking trends, the XEV 9e is the more popular model, representing 59% of bookings compared to the BE 6's 41%, resulting in an extended waiting period of up to approximately six months in some regions of India. The fully loaded Pack Three variant is the preferred choice among the majority of buyers for both the XEV 9e and the BE 6.

Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Exterior

The Mahindra BE 6 has a sharp, modern design with strong lines on the hood and distinct C-shaped front lights. Sculpted sides give a robust presence, complemented by a sporty front bumper. In contrast, the XEV 9e boasts a sleeker, coupe-like profile with a sloping roofline, sharp triangular headlights connected by a prominent LED strip, and distinctive inverted L-shaped taillights. It also gets illuminated Mahindra logo.

While both SUVs feature sporty bumpers, the XEV 9e's larger wheels and integrated roof spoiler contribute to a more dynamic and faster aesthetic.

Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Powertrain

Both the BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs from Mahindra offer the same battery options with rear-wheel drive. The smaller 59kWh battery provides 228bhp, while the larger 79kWh battery offers 282bhp.

With the smaller battery, the BE 6 can go about 557 kilometres, and the XEV 9e offers 542 kilometres. The larger battery increases the range to 683 kilometres for the BE 6 and 656 kilometres for the XEV 9e. The SUVs are powered by a single motor that drives the rear wheels.

Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Features

The BE 6 offers dual 12.3-inch screens and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, along with Level 2 ADAS. It also has rear AC vents.

The XEV 9e features a triple-screen setup, wireless charging, and a panoramic glass roof. It includes an NFC key and electronic driver's seat adjustment. Both have dual-zone climate control.
