Mahindra Thar 5-Door Interior Leaked Again Ahead of India Launch, Reveals New Details

The Mahindra Thar five-door is scheduled to make its entry in India next year. It has been frequently caught on camera during its testing phase in both the Indian and global markets in the past months. A few interior photos of the Mahindra SUV have again popped online, giving a glimpse at some of its capabilities. The most recent spy pictures show leatherette seat furnishings, a bigger infotainment system, a reworked centre console, and split centre armrests for the front occupants. All in all, the interior configuration of the SUV is expected to differ from the three-door version that is currently on the market. The 3-door model has a 7-inch touchscreen, but the upcoming 5-door variant is speculated to come with a larger floating infotainment system with a full screen devoid of thick bezels and a 10-inch size, coupled with wireless Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and other tech-related features. Although the exact launch date of the Mahindra Thar 5-door hasn't been confirmed, it is believed that the SUV will go on sale next year at a higher cost than the three-door model.

Mahindra Thar 5-door: Exterior 

The new Mahindra off-roader will come with LED headlights, halogen fog lamps, a new grille, a single-pane, LED taillamps, and circular LED DRLs, according to earlier spy photos. Even though it will have two additional doors, the car is predicted to possess the same solid and boxy style as its three-door counterpart. Based on spy photographs, it looks like the SUV has a fixed metal top and a sunroof.

Mahindra Thar 5-door: Features Onboard

Mahindra is rumoured to arm its SUV with plenty of features, including roof-mounted speakers, height-adjustable seatbelts, electrically adjustable single-pane sunroof, rear AC vents, wireless charger, cruise control, and more. In terms of safety, the car is anticipated to come equipped with six airbags, a reversing camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), among others.

Mahindra Thar 5-door: Engine

The mechanical features of the new Mahindra Thar are unlikely to undergo modifications, indicating that the SUV will keep the same choice of engines as the three-door version - a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel.

Mahindra Thar 5-door: Price Structure 

The SUV is expected to cost between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 18 lakh when it is released. Both prices are ex-showroom. In the Indian domain, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be a direct challenger to the Mahindra off-roader.
