Mahindra has launched the Thar Facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). While the powertrain options remain unchanged, the SUV receives cosmetic and feature upgrades.

Mahindra has launched the Thar Facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Compared to its predecessor, the 3-door off-roader sports a refreshed front design, featuring a grille inspired by its larger sibling, the Thar Roxx, and a new dual-tone bumper. It also comes in two new colour options: Tango Red and Battleship Grey. Inside, the SUV gains several updated features, including a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Mahindra Thar Facelift is available in two trims – AXT and LXT – offered across RWD and 4WD. Here's the variant-wise price list (ex-showroom).

There are no drastic changes to the Thar’s exterior, and the iconic boxy shape is still intact. Inspired by the larger Thar Roxx, the 3-door model now gets a body-coloured grille, although its size and design remain unchanged.

At the rear, Mahindra has made some notable additions, including a camera tucked into the spare wheel hub and a rear wiper with a washer. Beyond that, the exterior remains pretty much the same.

Inside, the Mahindra SUV has undergone significant upgrades. It now gets grab handles on the A-pillars, power window switches moved to the doors, a sliding centre armrest for the front seats, and a new steering wheel. The SUV also has a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The fuel lid can now be opened from the dashboard. Other updates are rear AC vents and charging ports.
The Thar Facelift has the same engine options, including 150bhp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, the 117bhp 1.5-litre diesel, and the 130bhp 2.2-litre diesel. The transmission options include both manual and automatic units.

Buyers can opt for 4WD on the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, but it comes equipped as standard on the 2.2-litre diesel.
