Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 Price List Revealed in India, Range Starts at Rs 18.79 Lakh

Mahindra launched its 5-door off-road SUV, the Thar Roxx, on the eve of India's Independence Day at a starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base MX1 petrol-MT variant. Back then, Mahindra revealed the pricing of the Thar Roxx 4x2, which tops out at Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, the company has revealed the prices for the four-wheel-drive variants of the off-road SUV.

The Thar Roxx 4x4 starts at Rs 18.79 lakh and goes up to Rs 22.49 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). It gets a 2.2-litre diesel mHawk diesel engine only under its hood, which generates 173bhp of maximum power and 370Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. While the Mahindra Thar Roxx comes in 6 broad trim levels: MX1, MX3, AX3 L, MX5, AX5 L, and AX7, the 4x4 model is offered in MX5, AX5 L, and AX7 L variants. Mahindra Thar Roxx: Exterior, Interior and Features

On the outside, the Thar Roxx has a striking appearance with elements such as a 6-slat grille, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, sturdy bumpers, and LED headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs. As for the colours, the SUV gets seven options, including stealth Black, Tango Red, Everest White, Deep Forest, Nebula Blue, Battleship Grey, and Burnt Sienna). All of these are available with a black roof.

Features-wise, the Roxx 4x4 offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 10.25-inch fully instrument cluster. Other than these, there is a panoramic sunroof, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a 6-way powered driver's seat. Ventilated front seats, automatic temperature control, a 360-degree camera, 4WD modes, push-button start, Level 2 ADAS, CrawlSmart assist, Intelliturn, and a 4XPLOR system with terrain modes (Snow, Sand and Mud) also form part of the mix.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Market Competitors

The Mahindra Thar Roxx directly competes with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the Force Gurkha 5-door. It also serves as an alternative to models such as the Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, the MG Astor, the Volkswagen Taigun, and the Skoda Kushaq.
