Mahindra has expanded its five-door SUV range in India with the introduction of the Thar Roxx Star Edition, priced from Rs 16.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant joins the existing Thar Roxx line-up and sits on the top AX7L trim, adding another option for buyers looking at a lifestyle-focused SUV. The Thar Roxx has already gained attention since its arrival due to its size, road presence, and practicality over the three-door version. With the Star Edition, Mahindra aims to keep interest strong by offering visual updates and added cabin changes without touching the mechanical setup.

The new variant is now available across Mahindra dealerships, giving buyers an additional choice within the growing five-door SUV segment in India.
The Star Edition brings noticeable design updates over the regular Thar Roxx. It gets a piano black front grille and piano black 19-inch alloy wheels, giving the SUV a darker exterior finish. Mahindra has also introduced a new Citrine Yellow paint option, offered alongside existing colour choices. Inside, the cabin switches to an all-black leatherette layout with suede inserts, creating a different look compared to the standard version. The feature list continues to include dual digital screens, a panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, and a nine-speaker audio system.

There are no changes under the bonnet for this version. The Thar Roxx Star Edition continues with the same engine options as the standard model. Buyers can choose a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an automatic gearbox, or a 2.2-litre diesel engine offered with both manual and automatic transmission options. All variants remain rear-wheel drive, keeping the setup consistent across the range.

The five-door layout of the Mahindra Thar Roxx makes it more suitable for daily use while retaining the familiar Thar styling. With the Star Edition, Mahindra adds a new visual option to the range, giving buyers more choice without altering the SUV’s core mechanical package.
