Mahindra to launch TUV300 tomorrow

Home-grown SUV-maker Mahindra is set to launch the TUV 300 tomorrow. This will be the latest addition to an already crowded compact-SUV segment.

The TUV 300 is likely to be powered a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, which delivers 100 bhp and 240 Nm of torque. Buyers will have an option of a five-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission system with the same number of gears.

Speaking of the exteriors, the official sketches provide a glimpse of the boxy design cues of the sub-4 metre SUV. However, the TUV 300 does get 17 inch wheels, the ones also featuring on the Scorpio.

The Mahindra TUV 300 is expected to be offered in three variants, namely, T4, T6 and T8. The T4 will come with black bumpers, the T6 will get body coloured door handles, ORVM casings and bumpers while the top-end T8 will feature alloy wheels.

Expect Mahindra’s latest offering to be priced between Rs 6.5 to 9 lakh.
