Mahindra TUV300: All you need to know

The Mahindra TUV300 is the latest entrant in the hot and happening compact SUV segment. Do not think this a rebadged version of the Mahindra Quanto compact MUV though. Underpinned by Mahindra’s third generation ladder frame chassis, which also serves the current generation Scorpio and powered by the company’s new m-Hawk80 diesel engine, the new Mahindra TUV300 is truly an all-new offering that is modern in its own right.

Having taken a look at various aspects about styling, interiors, equipment and powertrain in the review, it is now time to break down the variants of the TUV300 to understand what customers can expect variant wise for the money they invest in this compact SUV.

Mahindra TUV300 variants and prices (All prices are indicative of ex-showroom Pune):-

T4            – Rs. 6.90 lakh

T4+          – Rs. 7.25 lakh

T6            – Rs. 7.55 lakh

T6+          – Rs. 7.80 lakh

T6+ AMT – Rs. 8.52 lakh

T8            – Rs. 8.40 lakh

T8+ AMT – Rs. 9.12 lakh

Mahindra TUV300 T4 variant features:

The T4 variant of the Mahindra TUV300 comes fitted with tilt adjustable power steering, air conditioning and heating, manual internally adjustable ORVMs, power windows, front cup holders, front and rear bottle holders, front roof lamp, front power socket and vinyl upholstery. Safety features include impact beams and crumple zones, engine immobilizer, collapsible steering column, seat belt reminder lamp and automatic door locks. There is also an Eco mode for driving to improve fuel efficiency.

Mahindra TUV300 T4+ variant features:

The T4+ variant of the TUV300 in addition gets a vinyl cover for the tail gate mounted spare wheel. But more importantly it comes loaded with safety features such as anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution and dual front airbags.

Mahindra TUV300 T6 variant features:

The mid-level T6 variant of the new Mahindra TUV300 comes fitted with roof rails, body coloured bumpers, door handles and ORVM. The vehicle now gets wheel caps for its steel rims along with a side foot step. Inside, there is vinyl and fabric upholstery. There is more equipment in the form of a double-DIN stereo with Bluetooth, USB, and AUX connectivity along with a Mahindra Blue Sense mobile app for the same. The vehicle also gets rear defogger and wash wipe, remote keyless entry, second row roof lamp and power socket. Safety features include ABS with EBS along with the features of the T4 variant.

Mahindra TUV300 T6+ variant features:

The T6+ variant of the TUV300 in addition to the T6 variant gets dual front airbags.

Mahindra TUV300 T8 variant features:

The top of the line T8 variant of the Mahindra TUV300 packs in static bending head lamps, reverse parking sensors, idle start / stop system, driver information display, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering mounted stereo and phone controls, height adjustable driver’s seat, front arm rests, a storage tray below the driver’s seat, follow-me-home head lamps and lead-me-to-vehicle lamps and a fully folding second row seat.

The Mahindra TUV T8 comes with a piano black centre console, chrome rings for the instrument cluster pods, silver accents on the door handles, air vents and steering wheel.

On the outside, the T8 variant is distinguished by chrome inserts on the grille and fog lamp housings, a moulded spare wheel cover, backed out B-pillars and alloy wheels.

Standard safety equipment includes an anti-theft system, front airbags and ABS with EBD.

The Mahindra TUV300 is on sale with a choice of six colours to choose from, namely, Bold Black, Molten Orange, Majestic Silver, Dynamo Red, Verve Blue and Glacier White.
