Mahindra has taken the wraps off the Vision.T concept, staying true to its tradition of unveiling exciting innovations for the automotive industry on Independence Day. The Vision.T, finally shown in its full form, is a muscular, boxy SUV, and as previous teasers suggested, it is a direct evolution of the Thar electric that debuted in 2023. Alongside the Vision.T, Mahindra has also revealed the Vision.SXT, a rugged-looking pickup concept. Here's a closer look at the Mahindra Vision.T concept that is expected to go into production in 2027.

The concept builds on the Thar's recognisable design language. It features a boxy silhouette and a two-part grille with a rectangular design, alongside vertical LED lights. The bumper (front) has yellow highlights around the tow hook in the middle, while the flared wheel arches look prominent, and house chunky tyres. The five-door design with rear handles hidden in the C-pillar offers a clean look, and side mirrors have a squared-off design.

The rear profile is highlighted by a large spare wheel on the tailgate and square taillamps that have pixel-style LEDs.
Inside, the Vision.T comes packed with modern technology. The most notable highlight is the large infotainment screen that dominates the centre console, with a row of physical controls located just below it. Other features include a free-standing digital instrument cluster, a new three-spoke steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof.
The Vision.T is underpinned by the company's new nu_IQ modular platform.
