Another concept from Mahindra's Vision lineup is finally out, and it looks every bit modern, with a crossover-inspired design. Called the Vision.X, the SUV is built on Mahindra's NU_IQ platform, which is said to accommodate multiple powertrains, including hybrid and electric. However, the exact details on the Vision.X's powertrain are not yet available. While all models under the Vision series are currently in concept form, each one of them previews a potential production model. The Vision X combines the ruggedness of a traditional SUV with a sporty crossover styling. Its silhouette looks dynamic and athletic, with a contoured bonnet, sharply slanted windshield, and a fast-back style rear window, topped by a BE 6-like spoiler. The SUV gets its fog light design, sculpted bumper, and slender headlights from the XEV 9e, and twin peak emblems from the XUV series. This fuels speculation about whether the SUV will preview a new XUV or XEV model in Mahindra's Indian lineup.

Other notable highlights include squared-off wheel arches, dual-tone aerodynamic alloy wheels, a silver side step, and flush door handles.
The concept looks modern from the inside. It features a two-spoke steering wheel and a unified screen that serves as both a digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment unit. There are separate armrests for the front seats, and the centre area between the seats is big, offering cupholders and plenty of storage space.
Though still a concept, the Vision.X is expected to arrive as a sub-4-metre production SUV, and positions itself as a strong contender in the competitive compact SUV segment. Once it launches, the SUV will go head-to-head with established models such as the Hyundai Venue, the Kia Sonet, and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
