The Mahindra XUV 3XO has entered the Australian market in two trims: AX5L and AX7L. Unlike the Indian version, the Australian-spec XUV 3XO is available with only a single turbo-petrol engine, paired with either a manual or an automatic transmission. While the SUV’s design remains unchanged, there are subtle differences in exterior colour options and interior themes. We’ve detailed the full specifications of the Australian XUV 3XO to give you a clear picture of how it differs from the India-spec model.
The XUV 3XO retains C-shaped LED DRLs, connected LED taillights, and LED headlights. It also sports a black grille with a chrome Mahindra logo, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a more sculpted bonnet. However, when it comes to paint colours, the Indian-spec Mahindra XUV 3XO offers more choices. The Everest White, Tango Red, Galaxy Grey, Stealth Black, and Citrine Yellow colours are offered for both versions, but the Indian model also comes in exclusive colours like Nebula Blue, Deep Forest, and Dune Beige.

Inside, the Australia-spec Mahindra XUV 3XO sports an all-black interior with matching black leatherette seats. In contrast, the India-spec model has a subtle theme with a white theme and leatherette upholstery. That said, both variants offer an identical feature list, including dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, dual 10.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, and a 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
Mechanically, the two versions differ. The Australian XUV 3XO only comes with one engine: a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol that makes 110bhp and 200Nm, and can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission. However, the Indian XUV 3XO offers a more powerful 1.2-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol engine (128bhp, up to 230Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (115bhp, 300Nm) along with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol.
The Australian-spec Mahindra SUV is priced higher than its Indian counterpart, with prices ranging between AUD 23,490 to AUD 26,490 (approximately Rs 13.17 lakh to Rs 14.85 lakh). This makes the entry-level variant over Rs 5 lakh more expensive than the base MX1 trim sold in India, which starts at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

However, it’s imperative to keep in mind that the Australian range begins with the higher-spec AX5L trim, which in India is priced at Rs 12.62 lakh, about Rs 55,000 less than its Australian counterpart. The AX7L trim sold in Australia costs around Rs 94,000 more than the India-spec model.
