Mahindra will launch the updated XUV700, expected to be renamed XUV 7XO, in January 2026. The new name follows the format first introduced with the XUV 3XO. As a facelift, the model retains the existing platform, powertrains and drivetrain options. The update focuses on revised exterior styling, a refreshed cabin layout and new technology features. These changes on the Mahindra XUV700 facelift aim to keep the SUV competitive in its segment. Mahindra expects the XUV 7XO to attract current XUV700 owners and new buyers seeking added features.

The mechanical setup remains the same to preserve the driving experience. Showroom availability will follow the launch across India.
The XUV700 facelift will feature a new front grille, dual-barrel LED headlamps and U-shaped daytime running lamps. The front bumper and alloy wheels have revised designs. At the rear, a new tail-lamp pattern includes a connected LED strip. Flush door handles carry over from the current model. The SUV keeps its existing body dimensions.
The cabin includes a triple-screen layout with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, 12.3-inch co-driver screen and 10.25-inch driver display. A two-spoke steering wheel carries an illuminated Mahindra logo. Brown leatherette inserts and soft-touch panels cover the dashboard and door pads.
Ventilated front seats, a driver seat memory function and multi-zone climate control are expected to feature in the equipment list. A panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting are likely to appear on higher variants. Top trims are expected to offer second-row captain seats and a Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos support. Connected features are also expected on the upper variants.
The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines link to six-speed manual or automatic gearboxes. Front-wheel drive remains standard, while all-wheel drive is available on select models.
