Maruti Suzuki makes the Ciaz automatic more appealing in top end ZXi+ spec that gives it all the bells and whistles.

Maruti Suzuki has put a price on its new top-end automatic variant of the Ciaz in ZXi+ trim at Rs. 10,19,500, ex-showroom Delhi. Until now, the Ciaz petrol automatic was available in ZXi trim only, but the new ZXi+ spec now equips the car with added equipment in the form of larger 16inch alloy wheels, leather seat upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel, the brilliant CarPlay infotainment system with satellite navigation and voice activated controls, dual front airbags and some added chrome exterior trim.

Mechanically, the Maruti Ciaz ZXi+ automatic remains identical to the Ciaz ZXi automatic with its 1.4 litre, four cylinder, naturally aspirated DOHC petrol engine developing 91bhp @ 4,000 rpm and 130Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The engine continues to be mated to the four-speed automatic gearbox as in the ZXi variant. The car has an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency figure of 19.12 km/l.

While the ex-showroom price for the Maruti Ciaz ZXi+ automatic is Rs. 10.19 lakh, as it is priced above Rs. 10 lakh it is subject to higher registration costs and retails at Rs. 11.71 lakh (on-road New Delhi) while the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ZXi automatic retails at Rs. 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) and has an on-road New Delhi price tag of Rs. 10.81 lakh, making it Rs. 90,000 more affordable than the new ZXi+ variant. However, considering that the Ciaz automatic is finally available in the top end trim with dual front airbags and CarPlay amongst other features makes it more appealing indeed.

The on-road prices mentioned above include all costs including extended warranty package and zero depreciation insurance.
