Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Teased

Maruti Suzuki's first electric compact SUV, the e Vitara, is getting ready to debut at the second edition of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, scheduled to be held from January 17 to 22, 2025. To hold us over, Maruti Suzuki has shared a teaser image that shows the front of the vehicle in question and according to that, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara – previewed earlier by the eVX concept – looks nearly the same as the concept. The vehicle in the image shows a tri-slash LED Daytime Running Lamp at both ends, with a 'Maruti Suzuki' logo in the centre. There is also a bulging hood and aggressive-looking bumper. The profile and rear are yet to be teased; however, we aren't in for a long wait as the e Vitara will be unveiled in less than a month.

For context, the e Vitara revealed for the global market has 18-inch alloy wheels, C-pillar-mounted door handles, and body cladding around the wheel arches. The rear end features a roof-mounted spoiler, shark-fin antenna, chunky bumper, and lightbar-styled taillamps.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Battery, Range

The e Vitara is anticipated to be based on the new skateboard platform developed in partnership with Toyota. Overseas, the electric SUV gets two battery packs – 49kWh (with two-wheel drive) and 61kWh (with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive). It remains to be seen how Maruti Suzuki will spec the e Vitara for the Indian market. The range output could go up to 600km.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Features

Inside, the India-spec e Vitara will likely have a dual-tone theme and contemporary dashboard layout dominated by integrated screens for instrumentation and infotainment. There could also be a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and freshly designed AC vents. Other expected bits include a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, six standard airbags, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake (with auto-hold), and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
