Maruti Suzuki is set to expand its SUV portfolio in India with the launch of a new three-row SUV, likely to be called the Maruti Suzuki Escudo. This upcoming model will be sold through the brand’s Arena dealership network and will be positioned between the popular Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Grand Vitara. Designed for larger families, the Escudo aims to offer more seating capacity at a competitive price point, making it an attractive choice in the compact SUV market.
The Maruti Escudo is expected to share its engine and gearbox with the Brezza. Under the hood, it will likely feature a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that generates around 102bhp and 139Nm of torque. Transmission options may include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic, providing buyers with choices based on driving preferences and usage needs.

An Arkamys-tuned sound system and Suzuki Connect telematics are also expected, enhancing both in-cabin entertainment and vehicle connectivity.

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed the Escudo launch date as September 3, 2025. Once launched, the three-row SUV will go on sale through Arena outlets across India. This new model is aimed at tapping into the growing demand for budget-friendly family SUVs with more passenger space and practical features.
