Maruti Suzuki Fronx Mileage Revealed Ahead of Launch in India

The fuel efficiency figures of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx have finally been revealed ahead of its launch in India. Maruti Suzuki is likely to launch the Fronx in India in the coming weeks.

Maruti Suzuki will reportedly launch the highly anticipated Fronx in India shortly. The crossover has garnered huge attention in our market since its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo. It has started reaching the Nexa outlets, and a video of the same surfaced on the internet a while ago. Recently, the automaker unveiled the model's fuel efficiency figures at the Fronx media drive ahead of its India launch. The Fronx's engine specs and features are already known to us, and now we have access to its mileage details as well. In the upcoming weeks, Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce the model to our market. Before it, let's have a glance at the recently uncloaked fuel efficiency numbers of the upcoming model. 

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Mechanical & Fuel Efficiency Details 

Mechanically speaking, the Fronx will offer two engine options -  a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated DualJet petrol unit and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated DualJet petrol unit will be capable of delivering 89bhp and 113Nm. There will be two different gearbox options available for this unit: a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic. The first three trim levels, Sigma, Delta, and Delta+, all will come with the 1.2 NA motor. These three models will come with a manual transmission as standard equipment, while the Delta and Delta+ trims will also offer an AMT option. In terms of mileage, the Fronx's 1.2-litre petrol motor will deliver 21.79km/l for the manual version and 22.89km/l for the AMT.

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine, on the other hand, produces 99bhp and 147.6Nm. This engine will only be available on the Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha models. For transmission, all trims will use a manual gearbox as standard. However, the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox will only be available on the top-spec Zeta and Alpha versions. As for the mileage, the upcoming model while using this engine will offer 21.5km/l with the manual transmission and 20.01km/l with the automatic gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Exterior & Interior 

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx has a grille identical to the Grand Vitara, devoid of chrome accents around it. Instead, it has a single, broad chrome band with the Suzuki logo in the middle. The tyre arches are squared off. Further, the upcoming model offers more ground clearance than the Baleno. Speaking of the interior, the new model looks similar to the Maruti Suzuki's hatchback, the Baleno. Its dual-tone cabin sports a 9.0-inch free-floating SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection. Other notable features of the Fronx, comprises a wireless car charger, a head-up display, a 360-degree rearview camera, an automated air conditioner, and a reverse parking camera.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Price & Rivals 

The price announcement of the Fronx has time but market speculations reveal that it could retail between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 14 Lakh in India. All prices are ex-showroom. In terms of market competition, the upcoming model will go up against the Nissan Magnite, the Tata Punch, the Renault Kiger, and others.
