Maruti Suzuki Invicto

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automaker, is entering the upscale MPV segment with the introduction of its brand-new Invicto model. After creating just the right amount of buzz around the car through multiple teasers, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Invicto has finally been launched in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 24.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This luxury MPV is Maruti Suzuki's flagship product in the country. Notably, as part of their partnership agreement in India, Invicto will be the fourth model to join the lineup shared by Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. With certain modifications, this new offering, which is based on Toyota Motor's significantly successful MPV Innova Hycross, will be rebadged as a Maruti Suzuki car. Prior to this, the pair released twin versions of the Baleno and Glanza, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Grand Vitara, and the Brezza and Urban Cruiser. Bookings for the high-end Invicto MPV are already being accepted by the firm for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000 and will be sold by the carmaker via its premium Nexa outlets. Here's all you need to know about the Invicto in terms of price, design, features, mechanical specifications, and more.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Design and Platform

The Toyota Innova Hycross is a unibody front-wheel drive vehicle built on the TNGA platform used by the manufacturer. As a result of the collaboration between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki, the Invicto will likewise have front-wheel drive and identical underpinnings. In comparison to the Innova Hycross, on which it is based, the Invicto MPV receives a new grille with two chrome slats and Suzuki badging, a chrome bar, dual barrel headlamps, a revised front bumper, smaller LED DRLs, new dual-tone alloy wheels, modified LED tail lights, and a dual-tone bumper without the skid plate. It also has an integrated spoiler, body-coloured wheel arches and ORVMs, a high-mounted stop lamp, a shark-fin antenna, and a rear wiper and washer.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Powertrain Options

In terms of the engine, the Invicto is powered by a strong hybrid powertrain that includes a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit mated to an electric motor. This motor has the potential to churn out 11bhp, while the former is capable of producing 172bhp of maximum power and 188Nm of peak torque. The combined power output stands at 183bhp. The only available transmission is an e-CVT unit. The hybrid setup claims a fuel economy rating of 23.24km/l. Both a 7-seater and an 8-seater version of the Invicto will be available, providing flexibility to meet varying customer demands.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Interior and Feature Set

The layout and style of the cabin are the same as what we saw in the Innova Hycross. Apart from the Suzuki insignia on the steering wheel, the Invicto's interior has been updated to an all-black theme. Both a 7-seater and an 8-seater version of the Invicto are on offer, providing flexibility to meet varying customer demands. The former configuration includes captain seats in the second row.

Speaking of features, the Invicto, which is a rebadged Hycross, is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch multi-information display, a panoramic sunroof, a digital driver's display, multi-zone climate control, a one-touch powered tailgate, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, multiple charging options, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, Suzuki Connect with 50+ features, and 8-way powered adjustable seats with memory functions for the driver's convenience.

Up to six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Hill Start Assist, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera are also a part of its safety package. It is the first Maruti Suzuki offering to come equipped with an Electronic Parking Brake as a standard feature on all trim levels.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Price and Market Rivals
