Maruti Suzuki is on a spree of making its cars safer. After the Baleno and the Ertiga, it has now updated the XL6 MPV with six airbags as standard. With this, the price of the car has increased by up to 0.8%, and it now starts at Rs 11.92 lakh (ex-showroom). The MPV is available in four core variants: Zeta, Alpha, and Alpha Plus. The XL6 has a bolder front grille, Quad Chamber LED headlamps, and chunky cladding. It also features larger 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 is equipped with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 102bhp of maximum power and 139Nm of peak torque. It can be paired with either a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the carmaker offers a factory-fitted CNG option, available exclusively on the base Zeta variant.

For comfort, it offers auto climate control with rear AC vents, footwell lighting, ventilated front seats, cruise control, a steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment, and push-button start/stop. The car also comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, sports analogue dials paired with a colour MID, hill hold assist, 360-degree camera, six airbags as standard, ISOFIX mounts, and rear parking sensors.
Maruti Suzuki will soon expand its range of SUVs in India with a new three-row model called the Escudo. The car will be retailed through the company's Arena dealership network. It will be positioned between the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Grand Vitara in the lineup.
