Italian cars are known for their distinctive styling and innovative approach, so Maserati’s expansion into high-level customisation is a logical step. The Officine Fuoriserie programme, housed at the Viale Ciro Menotti facility in Modena, gives customers complete freedom to personalise their vehicles without limitations. From unique design elements to intricate detailing, every aspect can be tailored to individual preferences. Additionally, the programme features a cutting-edge painting line, allowing for exclusive finishes that enhance the bespoke nature of each Maserati.

Speaking about the new programme, Santo Ficili, Maserati CEO, said, 'Maserati is synonymous with Italian luxury around the world and celebrating this concept at the highest level means putting the customer's desires first in everything we do, especially in the creation of exclusive cars through the Fuoriserie programme. The attention to detail and needs of those who decide to buy a Maserati is what distinguishes us: with the new Officine Fuoriserie Maserati, we offer an additional tailor-made experience, a new chapter in our brand’s history to celebrate our tradition of excellence in artisanship and innovation. The home of the new Officine workshops is in the historic Modena plant. This area is the beating heart of an extraordinary brand, the longest-lived in all of Italy's Motor Valley, with the ability to bring to the world a unique vision of performance and design: the opening represents a major investment in the Modena site and its people, demonstrating the brand's commitment to the local community and at the same time, creating new opportunities for growth.'

Maserati Officine Fuoriserie Programme Explained

Maserati offers two levels of customisation within the Officine Fuoriserie programme. The first is a curated catalogue designed to help customers navigate countless configuration options. To simplify the process, Maserati has introduced two themed collections: Fuoriserie Corse and Fuoriserie Futura.

Maserati’s Fuoriserie Corsa models draw heavy inspiration from the brand’s illustrious racing history, showcasing liveries influenced by iconic race cars. Unlike traditional decals, each design is meticulously painted, with colour integrated as a fundamental design element rather than just an aesthetic layer. The Fuoriserie series emphasises advanced material craftsmanship and bold colour experimentation, while the second collection takes inspiration from industries such as interior decor, product innovation, and high-end sportswear.

The second level is a fully bespoke, tailor-made experience, where vehicles are crafted according to specific customer requests, including the possibility of one-of-a-kind, unique builds. According to the brand, it sets itself apart from its Maranello-based counterpart by fully embracing customer creativity rather than imposing design restrictions to preserve its identity. The brand collaborates closely with buyers throughout the entire design process to create one-off vehicles.

To aid in the customisation journey, Maserati provides a wooden box containing physical samples of available materials and finishes. For those seeking an even greater level of exclusivity, the brand offers the option to develop unique paint jobs that will not be available on any other vehicle. However, while full-body customisation is not currently part of the programme, Maserati’s head of design, Klaus Busse, has suggested that this may become a possibility in the future.
