Maserati announced plans to showcase the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna concept next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Ermenegildo Zegna's concept for the Maserati Quattroporte limited edition is the result of a close collaboration between two companies that are linked by history, tradition and exclusivity.

Maserati says that the main idea behind this special Quattroporte is to ‘pave the way for new materials, colour schemes and finishes’ which will be available starting next year. The people at Maserati teamed up with Ermenegildo Zegna to create a bespoke paint using ‘ultra-fine aluminum pigments’. These colours simulate the fluidity and purity of metal and the gloss black primer was added for a special look.

The interiors too have been worked upon and it features a moka and greige theme with genuine soft leather covering the roof lining, door panels and seats. The Italian car manufacturer has also dressed several surfaces with a velvet-like bright fabric which enhances the premium feel provided by the cabin.

The material and chromatic research behind the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition is based on a play between the classical and the contemporary.
