McLaren Artura Launched in India at Rs 5.10 Crore, Claims 330km/h Top Speed

McLaren has launched the new Artura in India at Rs 5.10 crore (ex-showroom). The new model from McLaren's stable is driven by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine mated to an electric motor. It will compete with the Lamborghini Huracan Evo, the McLaren MC20, and more in the country.

McLaren has launched the long-awaited Artura in India at Rs 5.10 crore (ex-showroom). After the GT and the 7205, the all-new Artura is the third McLaren vehicle in India. For propulsion, this brand-new supercar uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine paired with an electric motor. The engine produces 577bhp and 584Nm, whereas the electric motor adds 94bhp and 225Nm more. Overall, the combined output is 671bhp and 804Nm. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in about three seconds because of its overall power. It has an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox as standard. Features-wise, the new McLaren vehicle gets Clubsport seats, a lane departure warning system, McLaren Track telemetry, e-difference, variable drift control, and more. In terms of appearance, the new Artura is a true McLaren, thanks to its C-shaped headlights and horizontal taillamps, which are present on many prior McLaren models. McLaren Artura: Powertrain & Performance 

Propelling the new Artura is a 3.0-litre Twin-Turbo V6 petrol engine. According to McLaren, the engine has been updated to deliver a maximum of 577bhp of power and 584Nm of torque. It is mated to an electric motor that offers an additional 94bhp and 225Nm. Hence, the total output is 671bhp and 804Nm. For transmission, it uses an 8-speed automated transmission. The all-new Artura can go from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3 seconds, 200km/h in 8.3 seconds, and 300km/h in 21.5 seconds. Further, it claims a top speed of 330km/h. It is the first model of the firm to be developed on the brand-new carbon fibre MCLA platform. Further, it comes with four driving modes: E-mode, Comfort, Sport, and Track.

McLaren Artura: Styling

As mentioned, the brand-new vehicle is a dedicated McLaren, featuring C-shaped headlights and horizontal taillamps, which are available on many prior McLaren models. Pirelli Cyber Tyres, which contain sensors close to one another and communicate data more quickly than the conventional Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), are fitted to the vehicle. The hybrid model's architecture allows for a relatively light kerb weight of 1,498 kg, which is comparable to supercars in this sector without hybrid powertrains.

McLaren Artura: Interior & Features 

On the inside, McLaren has added a driver-centered design with distinct powertrain and handling controls to the cockpit. There is also a touchscreen in the centre console and a digital driver's display. This system includes McLaren Track Telemetry, voice control with natural language, an emergency call feature, and over-the-air software updates. Further, the interior of the new Artura also has McLaren's brand-new Clubsport seat, which according to the automaker, is lightweight and created to provide the passenger with the ideal support height and angle. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as intelligent adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, auto high-beam assist, and road-sign recognition are included with the brand-new Artura.

McLaren Artura: Price & Market Competitors 

McLaren has introduced the Artura high-performance hybrid at Rs 5.10 crore (ex-showroom) in India. The all-new McLaren Artura will face competition from the Lamborghini Huracan Evo, the McLaren MC20, and the Ferrari 296 GTB in our market.
