Mercedes-AMG India now officially has a new CLE in its lineup, the 53 Coupe, and it looks like pure performance luxury, featuring specific design elements like an aggressive bumper and the Panamericana grille with vertical slats. The AMG-tuned hard-top model is priced at Rs 1.35 crore in India, which makes it Rs 20 lakh more expensive than the open-top CLE 300 (priced at Rs 1.15 crore). While the core design is similar to that of the Cabriolet, the sloping roofline is the key design differentiator. It is accompanied by sharper bumpers, a signature grille, a bootlip spoiler, wider fenders, a quad exhaust setup, a gloss-black rear diffuser, and side air vents.

Mercedes-AMG has equipped the car with 19-inch wheels as standard, with an option to upgrade to 20-inch ones. As for the colours, the CLE 53 Coupe is available in six standard choices and two optional ones.
The interior boasts a mix of luxury and sportiness. The theme is all-black, and there are contrasting red stitching on the seats.

In addition to the pure AMG spirit, the cabin gets a tech punch with a 12.3-inch digital driver screen and an 11.9-inch portrait infotainment touchscreen, a Burmester surround sound system, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display, a wireless charger, and powered and ventilated seats with memory function.

The safety in the AMG CLE 53 Coupe is taken care of by a range of modern features, including electronic stability control (ESC), 8 airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and ADAS with features such as auto-parking assist and blind spot monitoring, and active brake assist.
The AMG CLE 53 has a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine mated to a 48V mild-hybrid system. This setup produces 443bhp and 560Nm, which can be boosted to 600Nm with an Overboost function.
