Mercedes-AMG Electric Super Sedan Teased Ahead of Global Debut in June; Here's What to Expect
While there is no official confirmation, the upcoming car from Mercedes-AMG is expected to be the electric version of their current GT 4-door.

The next big thing from Mercedes-AMG is coming this June, and it's expected to be the electric version of their current GT 4-door. The most recent teaser doesn't reveal many details, but it's likely that the new model will closely follow the shape of the current GT 4-Door, with a sleek liftback design, a sloping roofline, and a hatch-style rear, offering a coupe-like silhouette instead of a traditional sedan trunk. Among other possibilities, the upcoming AMG EV may take design cues from the Vision AMG concept revealed in 2022, which previewed AMG’s first fully electric model developed entirely in-house. The fancy stuff from the concept car, like the see-through windows, is unlikely to make it to production. However, some of its design features, like three-section taillights, will probably be kept.

The new Mercedes-AMG electric car will use a special base called AMG.EA, made just for the fast electric cars. It will have a strong battery that can charge quickly and go far. The car will probably be powered by advanced electric motors from Yasa. These motors are known for being powerful but also small and light.
Although Mercedes hasn't confirmed the specifics yet, the Yasa motors are expected to deliver around 473 hp and 800 Nm of torque. If one motor powers each axle, the total output could push close to 986bhp, making the car a formidable competitor to the likes of the Porsche Taycan Turbo and Audi RS E-Tron GT.
When Can We Possibly See the New Mercedes-AMG Electric Super Sedan?
The teaser has confirmed that AMG’s new EV will be revealed this June, but the exact date and location remain up in the air. The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa race in late June is close to AMG's headquarters, so it could be a place where they reveal the new car.

The famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race in June is another good possibility for the unveiling.
