The wait is finally over! Mercedes-Benz has announced the pricing for the limited-run AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition, which is inspired by Indian monsoons. The special edition retains the formidable mechanical prowess of the standard AMG G 63 SUV but adds exclusive cosmetic touches to become the first bespoke model developed specifically for the Indian market. It is the product of a collaborative effort between Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI). Limited to just 30 units, the Collector’s Edition is priced at Rs 4.3 crore, which makes it expensive than the standard AMG G-Class SUV (priced at Rs 3.3 crore, ex-showroom).
Deliveries are slated to commence in Q4 this year. It’s worth noting that this special edition is reserved exclusively for Mercedes-Benz’s elite luxury customers. Let’s take a closer look at other details.
The unique features of the AMG G-Class lie primarily in its visual upgrades. Mercedes-Benz has introduced two bespoke Manufaktur paint options tailored specifically for India: Mid Green Magno, and Red Magno. The model reflects unparalleled exclusivity and personalisation. The design inspired by Indian monsoons adds to the uniqueness of the G-Class. While the ‘One of Thirty’ plaque sits on the rear spare wheel cover, the stylish 22-inch AMG-spec alloy wheels come finished in a rich gold tone. There's also a protective strip featuring embedded insignia and exclusive ‘Collector’s Edition’ branding.

In terms of features, the special edition remains the same, with an 18-speaker Burmester 3D sound system and twin 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment. Mechanically, also, the Collector’s Edition gets a familiar 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system.
