The GT 63 S E Performance will be launched by Mercedes-AMG in India tomorrow. The GT four-door is only offered in this top-tier variant. This car is capable of delivering 843bhp of maximum power and 1,470Nm of peak torque. The GT 63 S E Performance, which debuted in 2021, represents Mercedes-AMG's philosophy of maintaining strong technological growth momentum. After all, it has an F1-inspired powertrain and is a plug-in hybrid hypercar. This makes it the most potent automobile to emerge from Affalterbach, which can take on even the present generation of middle-weight supercars. In the market, it will rival the likes of the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. Here's all we know about the upcoming model's styling, features, powertrain details, and more.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance: Design

Thanks to the large Panamericana grille with vertical struts, the car can now be identified as an AMG in an instant. Three large openings are located in the lower portion of the nose and provide air to the engine. This car's standard headlamps are Multibeam LEDs. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance flaunts the brand's trademark aggressive styling. Three contoured lines on the long hood give it a very muscular appearance. This one has the AMG forged 21-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, one of four alloy wheel options. The long hood, four doors, and sloping roofline at the back are all carried over from the GT four-door coupe into the body's design.

The car has dimensions of 5,054mm in length, 1,953mm in width, and 1,447mm in height, with a 2,951mm wheelbase. With the GT 63, Mercedes offers a few exterior accessory packs, including a night pack, a carbon fibre pack, and an aero pack. The Copper Orange Magno exterior colour is one of the seventeen available paint schemes.

The retractable wing, which is manually adjustable, is located at the back. The car's long taillamps cover the sides of the vehicle. The twin-pipe trapezoidal exhausts and the diffuser are located in the lower section. The GT 63 S E Performance looks very sporty all around.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance: Powertrain Details

An electric motor is paired with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine to power the AMG GT 63 S E Performance. The power for the rear axle comes from this electric motor. An AMG Speedshift MCT 9G automatic transmission is connected to the system. The motor can produce 201bhp and 320Nm while the engine can produce 630bhp and 900Nm of torque. Together, the engine and motor produce an impressive 832bhp and a maximum torque of 1,470Nm. The saloon can reach 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds and 0-200km/h in less than 10 seconds as a result. It offers a 316km/h top speed.

The 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system in the AMG GT 63 S E Performance features fully variable torque distribution and even a drift mode. Notably, it has a 6.1kWh battery pack with a 70kW output that was installed by Mercedes. With this, the AMG GT 63 S E Performance can be driven exclusively on electricity for up to 12 kilometres. The vehicle's top speed in this mode is 130km/h.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance: Interior Features

Like the exterior, the interior features a variety of sporty and AMG-specific elements, including the twin-display setup, which has AMG-specific screens on both displays, electrically adjustable, heated, and ventilated AMG seats, AMG scuff plates, AMG floor mats, and AMG adorned on the seats. The premium Nappa leather trim in the cockpit comes in a range of colours. A new twin-spoke AMG steering wheel with round buttons is also added. The displays have hybrid-specific ones that display energy flow and charging rate while driving. The AMG Dynamic Select, meanwhile, provides a wide range of modes, including Electric, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Race, Slippery, and Individual.

The car comes with a long list of features, including 64-colour ambient lighting, an acoustic comfort package, a glass roof, a rear-passenger display, a Burmester Audio system, ADAS, three-zone climate control, and ADAS. Besides, interested buyers can choose from four different interior trim options for the dashboard and door inserts, as well as up to fourteen different interior trim options for the seats. The 12.3-inch infotainment display and a fully digital instrument display are both part of the MBUX system. One can check the power, temperature, battery temperature, battery charge, powertrain output, and other telematics on both of these displays.
