Mercedes Benz EQA 250+

Mercedes-Benz has revealed its fourth electric vehicle – the EQA – for India. While the pricing of the model will be announced on July 8, the company has revealed the specifications of the upcoming electric vehicle. Based on the GLA SUV, the Mercedes-Benz EQA electric crossover will go on sale in a single variant – the long-range EQA 250+. At launch, the EQA will be positioned below the 7-seater EQB SUV in the company's India line-up.

While the international-spec EQA is offered in four variants – EQA 250, EQA 250+, EQA 300 4Matic, and EQA 350 4Matic, the India-spec Mercedes-Benz model will be available only in a 250+ variant. That variant will be equipped with a 70.5 kWh battery pack sending power to a front axle-mounted electric motor (188bhp/385Nm). With these numbers, the electric crossover can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in a claimed time of 8.6 seconds, while the battery will yield a WLTP-rated range of up to 560km.

Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+: Exterior

On the outside, the EQA 250+ will offer a closed-off grille (with small triangular stars) flanked by new blacked-out headlamps. It will also have an LED light bar spanning the width of the car's front fascia. In profile, the vehicle will sport larger 19-inch alloy wheels compared to the GLA's 18-inch wheels. At the rear, the upcoming EV will benefit from an integrated LED tail-lamp arrangement.

Eight colour options will be available for potential buyers to choose from: Polar White, Night Black, Cosmos Black, Mountain Grey, High-tech Silver, Spectral Blue, Manufaktur Patagonia Red Metallic, and Manufaktur Mountain Grey Magno.

Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+: Interior

In terms of features, the Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ will pack in 64-colour ambient lighting, twin displays (for the infotainment and instrumentation), a heads-up display, connected car tech, turbine-styled ACvents, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker Burmester sound system, and power-adjustable memory seats. For safety, it will be kitted out with multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, park assist, and ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) features.
