As of now, the German carmaker offers the EQS 580 4Matic and the Maybach EQS 680 SUVs in India. In terms of pricing, the EQS 450 is expected to cost approximately Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom).

Coming to the mechanical side of things, the model will be powered by the same 122kWh battery pack used in the 7-seater model, delivering 536.5bhp and 858Nm of torque with a dual-motor setup. It will feature 200kW DC fast charging, capable of charging the battery from 10 to 80% in 31 minutes.

The G580, also known globally as the EQG, is built on the G-Class platform but incorporates Mercedes' EQ electric technology. Although it retains the iconic G-Class silhouette, the G580 features an electric powertrain. The vehicle's front grille is designed with an illuminated octagonal panel and a prominent company logo, and buyers can select between a charging cable storage compartment or a tailgate-mounted spare tyre. To improve its aerodynamics, the SUV has undergone modifications to the rear wheel arch air curtains, bonnet, A-pillar cladding, and rear spoiler. Expected to be priced above Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom), the G 580 will be imported as a CBU.
