Mercedes Launches The New E-Class At A Surprising Price!

Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has just taken the wraps off the newest E-Class and we like what we see and we are even more surprised at the price. The German car maker launched the new Mercedes E-Class in New Delhi and announced the starting price at just Rs 41.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.

The new Mercedes E-Class will come in just two variants including the E 200 CGI petrol and the E250 CDI diesel. There will also be a special edition variant of which only 100 units will be sold.

The new Mercedes E-Class looks very attractive thanks to its aggressively styled front section with split headlamps and LED daytime running lights, and the rear will also get LED tail lights with fibre optics. Buyers also now have an option of having the central star design on the front grille - which is a new move by the company.

The advancements to the new E-Class don't just end on the outside as the interiors have also received fresh updates. There is Nappa leather upholstery, a new information and infotainment system, the steering wheel gets paddle-shifters and there is also a nice panoramic sunroof. You can also expect to find some innovative improvements to the safety features.

The diesel engine remains much the same with its 2.2 litre 4-cylinder mill producing 200bhp and massive torque output of 500Nm. The 2.0 litre petrol gives a power output of 184bhp and 300Nm of torque. Both engine variants are mated to a 7G Tronic transmission.

Both standard variants have been priced very competitively - the E200 CGI will start at Rs 41.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, while the E250 CDI will start at Rs 44.48 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The special edition variant will be priced at Rs. 49.9 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
