Mercedes S 63 AMG launched at Rs 2.53 crore

Mercedes-Benz has launched the flagship S 63 AMG sedan in India at Rs 2.53 crore (ex-showroom, Bangalore). This is the 10th launch by Mercedes in India this year, with five further cars set to hit the Indian roads over the next few months.

Being an AMG car, the S 63 AMG sports a 5.5-litre bi-turbo, eight cylinder engine that churns out 585 bhp of power and 900 Nm of torque. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed semi-automatic gearbox combines the best of both worlds when it comes to transmission systems.

Speaking at the launch, Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India commented, “The Mercedes-AMG S 63 leads the way confidently when it comes to perfection, high-class appeal and top-end quality. The S 63 AMG offers plenty of customization - ranging from exterior shades to leather upholstery to design trim elements - thanks to Mercedes’ newly launched ‘Designo’ platform.

Those not opting for such customizations get panoramic sunroof, 7 colours ambient lights, and AMG Sports steering wheel in nappa leather as standard, among other features.
