MG Astor Savvy equipped with ADAS launched

MG Motors has launched the top-of-the-line Savvy variant of the new Astor mid-size SUV. This version gets the level-two ADAS as standard and a starting price of Rs 15.78 lakh.

Earlier this month, MG launched its new mid-size SUV, the Astor, in India. The MG Astor also happens to be the most affordable MG SUV, with prices starting from Rs 9.78 lakh (ex-showroom). For the pricing of the recently launched MG Astor, click here.

Last week, MG revealed the prices of only a few variants. And now, the British carmaker has launched the highest-spec Astor. The MG Astor has been launched in the highest Savvy variant, with prices starting from Rs 15.78 lakh (ex-showroom).

The top-of-the-line Savvy variant of the Astor comes equipped with level-two Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) as standard. This system offers features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, and Speed Assist. All the other comfort and convenience features have been carried over from the MG Astor Sharp variant.

The engine choices on offer are a 1.5-litre NA petrol motor (108bhp and 144Nm) and a 1.35-litre turbo-petrol unit (138bhp and 220Nm). Both engines are offered exclusively with an automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre engine is paired to an eight-step CVT, whereas the 1.35-litre unit is coupled with a six-speed torque converter auto box.
