MG has increased the prices of the Comet EV in India by up to Rs 15,000. For now, there's no confirmation, but industry reports suggest that the latest price hike is likely due to higher component prices, rising input costs, and ongoing currency fluctuations. The revised pricing applies to both models of ownership: Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option and outright purchase. In addition, the battery subscription fee under the BaaS scheme has increased from Rs 2.9/km to Rs 3.1/km. Here's a closer look at the updated variant-wise prices.

The MG Comet EV has a 17.4kWh battery mated to a single motor that produces 41bhp and 110Nm. It offers a range of 230 kilometres (ARAI-certified) on a single charge and uses a rear-wheel drive setup.

The MG Comet EV offers a faster 7.4kW AC charging option, which cuts the charge time to less than 3.5 hours, while the standard 3.3kW AC charger takes about seven hours to charge the battery fully.
The Comet EV offers a comprehensive suite of modern features, such as a 4-speaker sound system, dual 10.25-inch screens, electrically foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

The compact electric hatch also offers electronic stability control (ESC), dual front airbags, all four disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and hill-hold and assist.
