JSW MG Motor India has announced significant price cuts for its ICE-powered SUVs, including the Astor, Hector, and Gloster, in response to the new GST 2.0 regulations. Depending on the model, the reductions go up to Rs 3.04 lakh. Although the new GST regime will apply from September 22, 2025, MG has chosen to pass on the tax benefits with immediate effect. This strategy aligns with Navratri and the upcoming festive season and will help MG stay ahead of competitors. Here's how much customers can save on MG SUVs.

Under the GST 2.0, small cars now benefit from a reduced 18% GST, replacing the old 28% rate and additional cess. Meanwhile, large cars, and SUVs now have a single 40% GST rate, which replaces the old 28% GST plus up to 22% cess. It's important to remember that the exact tax reduction for any vehicle is determined by its specific dimensions and engine size.

In addition to MG, automakers such as Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Renault, Citroen, and many others have announced revised prices/price reductions across the eligible models. The Renault cars boast price reductions of up to Rs 96,395, while the Hyundai models are now affordable by up to Rs 2.40 lakh. Tata Motors has announced price cuts of up to Rs 1.55 lakh. Meanwhile, Kia has slashed prices by up to Rs 4.49 lakh.

Citroen, on the other hand, has confirmed to lower prices of its models by up to Rs 2.70 lakh. It is worth noting that the exact price reduction varies depending on the model.
