MG Motor India has launched the facelifted Hector and Hector Plus SUVs in India, with some notable cosmetic improvements. The SUV is offered in 5-seater and 7-seater layouts, and has multiple trims to choose from: Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro, paired with the 1.5-litre Turbo Petrol engine, offered in MT and CVT options. The base 5-seater Style MT model starts at Rs 11.99 lakh, while the top-spec Savvy Pro CVT 5-seater is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh. The 7-seater Hector starts with the Sharp Pro, ranging from Rs 17.29 lakh (MT) to Rs 19.49 lakh (CVT) for the Savvy Pro. MG has only disclosed prices for the petrol versions. Here’s a detailed look at what’s new in the facelifted Hector.

The MG Hector facelift has kept its familiar silhouette, but it adds a few key updates for a refreshed and modern look. The most noticeable change is the redesigned grille, now featuring hexagonal slats that replace the previous diamond-patterned design, while the overall size remains unchanged. The air dam below also looks new. The alloys on the SUV have also been refreshed; the 18-inch size remains the same, though. MG has added two new shades to Hector's colour palette: Celadon Blue and Pearl White.
That said, the split headlight setup, the LED strip connecting the taillamps, bumpers, shark-fin antenna, and dual-tone wheel arch claddings, remains unchanged.

The cabin receives a notable overhaul with a dual-tone Urban Tan theme. The 14-inch touchscreen in the Hector facelift now supports iSwipe gesture controls, giving front occupants the ability to manage climate settings with two fingers and audio with three.

Both the facelifted Hector and Hector Plus SUVs continue to offer familiar engine and gearbox options. Petrol models come with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine (141bhp/250Nm), and a 6-speed manual or CVT. On the other hand, the diesel-powered SUV features a 2.0-litre engine with 168bhp and 350Nm and a sole manual gearbox.
