JSW MG Motor will launch the MG Majestor SUV in India tomorrow, and this one is clearly meant to be the brand’s flagship. It will sit above the MG Gloster and move straight into the full-size three-row SUV space. Majestor SUV was first showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, tomorrow’s launch marks its official India debut. The new Majestor sticks with a ladder-frame chassis and diesel power, which should appeal to buyers who still want a large body-on-frame SUV for long drives and rough roads.

With its size, diesel engine, and seven-seater layout, the Majestor will target buyers looking for a premium full-size SUV when it goes on sale after the February 12 launch.
The MG Majestor design follows the usual big SUV layout. Up front, there is a large grille, split headlamps, and a tall stance. The side profile looks long with roof rails and body cladding. At the rear, it gets connected tail-lamps and dual exhaust outlets. MG will offer 19-inch alloy wheels with large tyres, which suit the size of the SUV.

Inside the Majestor cabin, expect dual digital screens, a panoramic sunroof, powered seats, and a 360-degree camera. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and connected car features should also be part of the package. The focus seems to be on space and comfort for long-distance use.
Power for this new MG SUV is expected to come from a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 212bhp and 478Nm, similar to the Gloster. The engine will be paired with an automatic gearbox. Four-wheel-drive (4WD) versions will send power to all four wheels, while rear-wheel-drive variants could also be offered.
The Majestor is based on the Maxus D90 sold in other markets, so it uses a rugged body-on-frame platform. That usually means better durability on rough roads and more off-road ability. MG is likely to include Rock, Sand, and Snow modes along with electronic aids for low-grip conditions.
