MG Majestor SUV revealed ahead of its February 12 India debut. New flagship three-row SUV set to sit above the Gloster in MG’s India line-up.

JSW MG Motor has revealed the Majestor SUV ahead of its India launch on February 12, and this one is clearly meant to sit right at the top of the brand’s SUV range. It will slot above the Gloster and step straight into the full-size three-row SUV space. The model was shown earlier at the Bharat Mobility Expo, but this is the first proper look at the production version before launch. It rides on a ladder-frame chassis, sticks with diesel power and brings four-wheel-drive hardware into the mix. MG is positioning it as its flagship SUV for India, with the focus on size, road presence and long-distance usability. Prices, variants and the full feature list will be confirmed at the official debut later this week.

In terms of design, the Majestor follows the big-SUV template. There is a wide grille up front, split lighting and an upright stance. The side profile looks long and tall, with roof rails and body cladding. At the back, it gets connected tail-lamps and dual exhaust outlets. MG will offer it with 19-inch alloy wheels and large tyres, which suit the size and stance of the vehicle.
Power is expected to come from a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine (212bhp/478Nm) as the Gloster. The engine will be paired with an automatic gearbox. Four-wheel-drive versions will send power to all four wheels, while rear-wheel-drive variants could also be part of the line-up for buyers who want a simpler setup.
The Majestor is based on the same platform as the Maxus D90 sold in other markets, so it retains a body-on-frame setup. That usually means better durability on rough roads and improved off-road ability. MG is likely to include Rock, Sand and Snow modes, along with electronic aids for low-grip conditions.
With its size, diesel engine and three-row layout, the Majestor will target buyers looking for a large SUV when it goes on sale after the February 12 launch.
