MG Windsor Pro Variant to Launch in India on May 6

JSW MG Motor India will unveil the Windsor PRO EV on 6 May 2025, adding a new variant to its electric vehicle line-up. Designed with improved safety, advanced technology, and a refined driving experience, the Windsor PRO aims to meet evolving customer expectations in the EV segment. Since its launch in 2024, the Windsor EV has already played a role in boosting MG’s sales and building its presence in the electric mobility market. With the PRO version, the company aim to attract more new EV buyers looking for a more feature-packed car.

MG Windsor PRO EV: Expected Battery Pack

The Windsor EV Pro will feature a larger battery pack, up from the current 38kWh unit. This high-capacity battery will offer a greater range on a single charge, compared to 332km in the standard model. However, performance figures will likely be unchanged, as the Pro continues to use the same 134bhp electric motor and 200Nm of torque, powering the front wheels.

Exterior changes include new paint options and a 'Pro' badge. Inside, the cabin will likely feature a dual-tone black and brown theme, enhanced with woodgrain accents, aimed at offering a more upmarket experience for tech-conscious buyers.

The Pro variant places greater emphasis on safety and tech. It will mark the debut of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in the Windsor line, using a network of sensors and cameras to support safer driving. Another highlight is the introduction of vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, enabling users to power external devices—an industry-first feature for electric cars in India.

MG Windsor PRO EV: Expected Price

The current MG Windsor EV is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming Windsor EV Pro, which brings a larger battery, upgraded safety features, and enhanced technology, is likely to command a higher price point.
