The new Mini Cooper S Convertible, which went on sale on December 12, has sold out in India. Pre-orders for the second batch are now open, with deliveries slated to commence early next year. The new open-top Mini, available only in the Cooper S trim with the Favoured Pack, carries a price tag of Rs 58.50 lakh, marking a notable premium of Rs 6.5 lakh over the standard Cooper S. The Convertible’s electrically operated fabric roof takes only 18 seconds to open and 15 to close, even when driving at speeds of up to 30km/h. It is 3,879mm long, 1,744mm wide (excluding mirrors), and 1,431mm tall. The Convertible has a 2,495mm wheelbase. Mini offers its newly launched open-top in four eye-catching colours: Sunny Side Yellow, British Racing Green, Chilli Red, and Ocean Wave Green. Owners can further personalise their ride with options like custom soft-top themes and mirror cap finishes. The car rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Mini Cooper S Convertible features a dual-tone dashboard in beige and grey, paired with a choice of two interior upholstery options: Vescin Beige or Vescin Nightshade Blue. It comes equipped with the ‘Favoured Pack’, and includes a host of premium amenities, including a head-up display, a Harman Kardon audio, parking assist, TPMS, cruise control, a central OLED touchscreen infotainment system, and powered seats. The cabin also features a sporty three-spoke steering wheel with a unique fabric accent.
The Cooper S Convertible uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 201bhp of peak power and 300Nm of maximum torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Cooper S Convertible gets a claimed mileage of 16.39km/l. It claims a top speed of 240km/h, and a 0-100km/h sprint time of 6.9 seconds.
