Mini will introduce the new Countryman John Cooper Works (JCW) in India on October 14, 2025. The upcoming JCW will stand out as the sole combustion engine variant of the Countryman in India with a host of design upgrades. It will have a blacked-out grille with a signature chequered-flag design, and a front bumper, flanked by prominent air intakes highlighted with red accents. There will also be a distinctive JCW badge on the C-pillar, as well as, alloy wheels with red brake callipers
Inside, the new Countryman JCW will maintain the sportier theme, with red ambient lighting, contrasting red stitching, and sporty pedals. It will also have JCW-themed graphics on the infotainment unit.

On the mechanical front, the Mini Countryman JCW has a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 296bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm, and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive (standard). The variant can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.4 seconds. For comparison, the standard Countryman All4 in the UK is equipped with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that makes a reduced power out of 215bhp, compared to the JCW model.

For the uninitiated, Mini India launched the Countryman Electric featuring the John Cooper Works Pack for Rs 62 lakh earlier this year. However, only 20 units of the all-electric JCW variant were brought into the country, with bookings available for Rs 1.5 lakh and deliveries planned for that same month.
