The baby Bimmer sedan, the 2 Series Gran Coupe, is set to launch in India tomorrow (July 17) with a sharper, sportier design, larger displays, and Level 2 ADAS. It has a more compact 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 156bhp and 230Nm, which is around 20bhp and 50Nm less than the outgoing model’s larger 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol unit. Power is sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. While the official launch is around the corner, the new 2 Series Gran Coupe is expected to be priced around Rs 50 lakh, marking a noticeable increase over the outgoing version, which is priced at Rs 44.4 lakh. Read on to know what the updated BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has to offer.

The model continues to feature a sloping roofline, but its overall design is sportier than before. The long bonnet now has more pronounced character lines, while the illuminated kidney grille, sculpted bonnet, and sharply cut bumpers offer a more aggressive stance. At the back, a bold faux diffuser amps up the sporty appeal, paired with new LED taillights. The larger 18-inch M Light alloy wheels round off the look.

The 2 Series Gran Coupe’s interior offers a modern Bimmer vibe. The standout feature is the prominent curved display, running on BMW's latest iDrive OS9, which seamlessly integrates the digital cluster and infotainment. The car boasts a minimalist dash, shortcut keys, and a compact electronic gear toggle. Other highlights include M-colour stitching, slim vents, and textured metallic accents with ambient lighting.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe is well-equipped. It has a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a 10.7-inch infotainment screen, and a head-up display with augmented reality.
