New BMW 3 Series LWB Launched at Rs 62.60 Lakh in India

The BMW 3 Series LWB features a refined design with a reworked BMW kidney grille, sleek twin LED headlights, and adaptive LED headlights with projector lamps.

BMW India has launched the new 3 Series LWB at an ex-showroom price of Rs 62.60 lakh. The model is available in various striking paint job options: M Carbon Black, Mineral White, Arctic Race Blue, and Skyscraper Grey. Manufactured locally at the premium carmaker's Chennai plant, the BMW model is currently offered in a petrol variant across all authorised dealerships. Notably, the diesel version is set for a later launch. Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, 'The new BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase has set new standards in its segment with an elongated design, enhanced space, luxurious comfort and dynamic performance. Impressive in every way, it also possesses the most powerful engine in its class. With the new update, the 3 LWB has increased its appeal even further by adding new striking design elements and driver assistance features. As always, it continues to deliver sheer driving pleasure with superlative luxury, making it a perfect choice for individuals as well as their families.'

BMW says customers can select from a range of service plans tailored to different durations and mileage. These packages include Condition-Based Service (CBS) and maintenance work, starting from 3 years/40,000 km, with extensions available for up to 10 years/2 lakh km. Additionally, the warranty program can be extended for up to 10 years.

New BMW 3 Series LWB: Dimensions and Design

In terms of dimensions, the model spans 4,819mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,961mm, making it the longest vehicle in its segment and offering the most spacious second-row seating.

The 3 Series LWB boasts a refined design, featuring a reworked BMW kidney grille and sleek twin circular LED headlights, complemented by adaptive LED headlights with projector lamps. Enhancing its upscale appearance, the exterior is adorned with aluminium satinated trims as well as a high-gloss black rear diffuser.

New BMW 3 Series LWB: Mechanical Setup

Equipped with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine of the 330Li delivers 254bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm between 1,550 and 4,400rpm. The car sprints from 0 to 100km/h in 6.2 seconds. This engine is paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission for seamless power delivery.

Additionally, the BMW 3 Series LWB features steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and cruise control with a braking function. The Launch Control system enhances traction, enabling optimal acceleration from a standstill. With the Driving Experience Control switch, drivers can select from multiple modes – ECO PRO, Comfort, and Sport – to adapt to various driving conditions.

Inside, the new Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite interior trim strips enhance the cabin’s sporty appeal. The standard M leather steering wheel in the BMW 3 Series LWB now features a flat-bottomed rim. Customers can choose from various upholstery options, including Leather Vernasca Cognac.

Key highlights include BMW iDrive with Operating System 8.5, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, and ambient lighting with an illuminated contour strip on the back of the front seats. The cabin also features newly designed air vents, electrically adjustable comfort seats with extendable thigh support, a panoramic sunroof, BMW Digital Key Plus, a BMW Widescreen Curved Display, three-zone automatic climate control, auto start/stop, and electronic power steering. For added convenience, the Park Assistant Plus system includes a surround-view camera, while the BMW Driving Assistant offers Blind Spot Detection and alerts for lane changes, front collisions, and rear collisions.

The safety quotient is elevated by features such as electric parking brake with auto hold, ISOFIX child seat mounts, six airbags, side-impact protection, integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor, Attentiveness Assistance, crash sensor, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), and electronic vehicle immobiliser.
